Circa93 was approached in the summer of 2002 to concept and manage a bar at 2810 Main Street in Santa Monica, known formerly as The Mix.
Barcopa opened on July 2, 2002 with the goal of bringing a little soul to Main Street. For nearly 13 years, we operated proudly and successfully.
It is with deep regret that we announce that our journey has come to an end. Our contract has expired. Barcopa will close as of June 1, 2015. A new venue operated by Areal Restaurant will take its place. All of Barcopa’s staff, DJs, and promoters have chosen to remain with Circa93.
We want to express our deepest gratitude to all who have supported us throughout these years. Thank you for the lasting friendships and memories — it’s been a great ride.
